چکیده

Description: Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels provide an abstract and unified representation of different physical communication systems, ranging from multi-antenna wireless channels to wireless digital subscriber line (DSL) systems. They have the key property that several data streams can be simultaneously established. MIMO Transceiver Design via Majorization Theory presents an up-to-date unified mathematical framework for the design of point-to-point MIMO transceivers with channel state information (CSI) at both sides of the link according to an arbitrary cost function as a measure of the system performance. In addition, the framework embraces the design of systems with given individual performance on the data streams. MIMO Transceiver Design via Majorization Theory is an invaluable resource for researchers and practitioners involved in the state-of-the-art design of MIMO-based communication systems

When MIMO Control Meets MIMO Communication: A Majorization Condition for Networked Stabilizability

In this paper, we initiate the study of networked stabilization via a MIMO communication scheme between the controller and the plant. Specifically, the communication system is modeled as a MIMO transceiver, which consists of three parts: an encoder, a MIMO channel, and a decoder. In the spirit of MIMO communication, the number of SISO subchannels in the transceiver is often greater than the num...

Title A General Robust Linear Transceiver Design for Multi-Hop Amplify-and-Forward MIMO Relaying Systems

In this paper, linear transceiver design for multi-hop amplify-and-forward (AF) multi-input multi-output (MIMO) relaying systems with Gaussian distributed channel estimation errors is investigated. Commonly used transceiver design criteria including weighted mean-square-error (MSE) minimization, capacity maximization, worst-MSE/MAX-MSE minimization and weighted sum-rate maximization, are consid...

On the Design of MIMO-OFDM Transceivers via Geometric Mean Decomposition

The Geometric Mean Decomposition (GMD) based transceiver design has gained huge attention in the recent past as it provides an optimal solution in terms of BER and capacity. GMD technique has been widely adopted for the joint transceiver design as it converts the MIMO channel into identical and parallel SISO channels hence avoiding the necessity for bit loading and also achieves minimized bit e...

How to Understand LMMSE Transceiver Design for MIMO Systems From Quadratic Matrix Programming

In this paper, a unified linear minimum mean-square-error (LMMSE) transceiver design framework is investigated, which is suitable for a wide range of wireless systems. The unified design is based on an elegant and powerful mathematical programming technology termed as quadratic matrix programming (QMP). Based on QMP it can be observed that for different wireless systems, there are certain commo...
